Speech Therapy
 

At Willowcrest we offer comprehensive speech, language diagnostic, and therapy services. Treatment is tailored to each individual's unique needs. In addition to traditional language therapy, we focus on articulation --teaching students to progress from single sounds to sound combinations and progressing to full sentences and conversation. And then we work with families to generalize successful strategies in other environments.

Our play-based approach to language development builds play skills and expands vocabulary in ways that are meaningful and functional. Verbal language is composed of receptive comprehension as well as verbal expression. Addressing and targeting both areas builds comprehension and expands the child’s ability to express themselves and to interact with others.
